Terms of Service

Last updated: December 14, 2025

We've tried to keep these terms readable while protecting both you and us. If anything is unclear, just ask!

1. Agreement to Terms

By using PanchoMoney, you're agreeing to these terms. We know legal documents can be dry, but these help keep everyone on the same page. If you don't agree, that's okay—just don't use our service.

2. Eligibility

PanchoMoney is for adults (18 years or older). By using our service, you confirm that you're at least 18 and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

3. What PanchoMoney Does

PanchoMoney is your personal finance companion—we help you track investments, analyze spending, and work toward your financial goals. Here's what we offer:

  • Portfolio tracking and analysis
  • Financial statement import and processing
  • Investment insights and recommendations
  • Credit card transaction categorization

4. Your Account

Creating an Account

To use PanchoMoney's features, you'll need an account. Please use accurate information when signing up—it helps us serve you better and keep your account secure.

Keeping It Secure

Your password is your responsibility. Keep it safe and don't share your account with others. If you notice anything suspicious, let us know right away.

5. Playing Nice

We ask that you:

  • Use PanchoMoney for its intended purpose (managing your finances)
  • Keep your account to yourself
  • Don't try to break things or upload harmful content
  • Treat others with respect
  • Don't copy or reverse-engineer our work

6. We're Not Financial Advisors

PanchoMoney helps you track and understand your finances, but we're not licensed financial advisors. Our insights are for informational purposes—think of us as a really smart spreadsheet, not a financial planner.

For big financial decisions, please consult with qualified professionals. Any investment choices you make are your own.

7. Our Stuff

PanchoMoney's code, design, and features are our intellectual property. We put a lot of work into this, so please don't copy or redistribute it without asking.

8. Your Stuff

Your financial data is yours. When you upload statements or connect accounts, you're giving us permission to process that data to provide our services—but you still own it. We won't sell it or use it for anything other than helping you.

9. Third-Party Services

We may connect to other services (like data providers). We don't control them, so their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

10. Service Provided "As Is"

PanchoMoney is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We work hard to keep things running smoothly, but we can't guarantee:

  • The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • All data will be perfectly accurate
  • The service will meet all your specific needs

(This is standard "we're doing our best but software" language—it protects us from liability for things outside our control.)

11. Limitation of Liability

We do our best, but things can go wrong. To the extent the law allows, PanchoMoney isn't liable for indirect damages or lost profits. Our maximum liability is limited to what you've paid us in the past 12 months.

(This is standard legal protection—it helps us keep the service running without astronomical insurance costs.)

12. Indemnification

If you misuse PanchoMoney and someone comes after us because of it, you agree to help cover our costs. This is a standard "don't drag us into your problems" clause.

13. Dispute Resolution

If we have a disagreement we can't resolve informally, it goes to binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association rules. This keeps things simpler and cheaper than going to court.

Class Action Waiver: You agree to resolve disputes with us individually, not as part of a class action or representative proceeding. This is increasingly standard and helps keep costs down for everyone.

14. Changes to the Service

We're always improving PanchoMoney. Sometimes that means features change or go away. We'll try to give you notice of major changes, but we can't promise the service will stay exactly the same forever.

15. Account Termination

If you violate these terms or use PanchoMoney harmfully, we may suspend or close your account. We don't do this lightly, but we need to protect other users and ourselves.

16. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Washington State law. We're based in the Pacific Northwest and that's where the legal stuff applies.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. When we do, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
